Grant Associates shortlisted for Landscape Institute Awards 2015
Landscape architect Grant Associates has been shortlisted for this year’s Landscape Institute Awards in the category Design for Large Scale Development.
The Bath based firm’s design for Bristol Harbourside is being considered for the accolade following the completion of the £120m waterfront regeneration scheme by developer Crest Nicholson.
One of the largest developments in Bristol in decades, Grant Associates has been involved with the creation of the mixed-use scheme’s masterplan for over 15 years.
Working closely with architect Cullinan Studio, Grant Associates has transformed the derelict 6.6 hectare brownfield site of former docks and gas works into a vibrant public realm offering new streetscapes and views, waterfront walks, open space and a sustainable urban drainage system (SuDS).
The award winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on Thursday, 26 November 2015.
Grant Associates has previously scooped a number of Landscape Institute Awards including a 2014 gong for its Church Street and Paddington Green masterplan in the Neighbourhood Planning Category.
