Catherine Lake

BLA
Landscape Architect

Catherine is interested in contributing creatively to building meaningful, sustainable relationships between people and the natural environment, with a conscientious focus on establishing robust landscapes. Since joining the practice in 2016, Catherine has worked on projects in India and the UK.

Previously she worked at a Landscape Architecture and Ecology practice in Cardiff where she was involved in a variety of projects around Wales, England and Northern Ireland and covered a range of sectors including residential, health and renewables.

During her studies, Catherine’s project for a new airport landscape in West Sydney was a finalist for the HASSELL Travelling Scholarship Robin Edmond Prize. Her project looked to utilise the opportunities created by dramatic topographic changes to playfully re-imagine an airport landscape and mitigate the visual and environmental impact of homogenising existing complex terrain.
