Megan Cumming

BSc (Hons) MSc
Architectural Assistant

Megan worked in architectural practices before going on to study Environmental Psychology, learning about the interdependency of human and environmental health. With a view to informing her own design process, Megan was motivated to develop research skills that allow her to not only evaluate the qualities of built, natural and social environments but also critically reflect on decision making throughout design processes.

Working across architecture and psychology has encouraged Megan to solve problems from more than one perspective, actively seeking projects that involve working with a diverse range of specialists.

She has experience planning and leading psychological research in complex and ethically sensitive settings, including a qualitative case study evaluating the therapeutic nature of the environment at a cancer support centre. These experiences have encouraged her to approach Landscape Design with a sensitivity for the intimate relationships we share with meaningful places.
